We will be on time and professional. We also don’t skimp on miles driven, (we typically drive 50 miles or more per lesson). We coach each student with custom lesson plans and provide feedback (progress report). Our progress report includes DMV test reminder’s and hand written notes from each lesson. We coach our students to practice driving everyday ” like your taking your DMV Behind the Wheel Test”. Once we establish safe driving habits, your DMV behind the wheel test, should be a positive experience. We believe in treating each student with respect and strive to teach with patience and clear instructions. We also encourage students to ask questions regarding road rules, as we believe this fosters a safe driving lesson.

Why not choose a Large Budget Driving School or Academy?

Orange Country has lots of options when it comes to choosing a driving school. The most common way people choose a Driving School is from using search engines……each click comes with a cost. This is why large budget driving schools dominate search engines. The only drawback is… this is an expensive way to create new customers, thus directly effects the budget for other large expenses such as: (instructors’ salaries and training cars).

When Road Master Driving School first opened, we started with word-of-mouth advertising and a free add on Yelp. We are currently celebrating our 7th year in business, we still have a free ad on yelp, and thankfully……. we still receive referrals, thanks to our students and parents.

We Keep Our Student Driver Cars Clean

We suggest that each student use hand Sanitizer or wash hands prior to each lesson. After each lesson, we wipe down the steering wheel

and controls. We take students and Instructors health seriously, each of our staff carries their

Covid 19 vaccination Record Card.

Mission

Safety is our mission. We take our customers safety seriously, in addition to our instructors license, all employees are trained as a school bus driver. As a school bus driver, we are regarded as “the safest form of transportation”, mainly because of rigorous training, we are trained yearly and required to be licensed by both the DMV and CHP. Since our opening in 2016, we have maintained a clear safety record with “ O at fault accidents”.

We train in a 2023 Hybrid Hyundai Sonata which has a 5 star crash rating by the government for overall vehicle score, frontal crash, side crash or rollover risk, Lane Departure, Blind Spot Detection and Forward Collision Avoidance. For additional safety, we have a Instructor Brake, Instructor Mirrors, Video Cameras in front and for passenger and a rear backup camera. All our cars are annually inspected for safety.

All of our instructors have completed the Department of Motor Vehicle’s certification process, including fingerprinting and clearance through the Department of Justice. We are license #E2074, please check our License status https://www.dmv.ca.gov

Goals

Our goal for every student is to teach how to recognize what a problematic driver might do, anticipate what could happen next and leave yourself a out. We strive to teach courteous and accident free driving for life.

History

Back in 2010, like most parents of a 15 year old, James Helman taught his oldest son how to drive. “I really enjoyed teaching my son a lifelong skill”, “ it was during my sons training that I developed a passion for teaching and decided to pursue opening my own driving school”. James started his documented training as an instructor at a local driving school (2000 documented teaching hours are required to apply as a DMV Owner/Operator). In 2016, after rigorous testing, James received his Driving School Owner/Operator licenses and immediately opened Roadmaster Driving School. We have since taught thousands of local students how to be a safe and accident free driver.
